The protection is completely reliable, so we will be free from those malicious threats that exist on the networks. It must be taken into account that protection in the organization is the most important thing, so we avoid a lot of wasted time that can be used for business production. We use it to control data usage on our 75 deployed iPads. We know if the devices are being utilized and limit the use of these devices to corporate interests. We know the location and can reassign an iPad as needed to a different or new user. There are less employee calls for support as we can tailor the applications to minimize the variations in setup.
  • Data usage. It allows shared data plans that minimize costs.
  • It allows deployment of new applications with minimum interaction with users.
  • It allows constant location information and we know if an iPad is lost sometimes before the device user knows it is missing.
  • Simplify the set up of the account. The time required by an it ameture is excessive.
  • Reduce the cost of the per device subscription
  • Allow simplified device management
For new device setup and deployment it’s fairly easy. Getting off the ground with the initial setup is tough. It needs to be easier to get going. Training a new device manager is not straightforward. It requires too much tutoring to get someone proficient in changing, adding, and deleting devices.

IBM Security MaaS360 is used to manage our mobile device fleet of iPhone and iPad devices. It has helped with controlling what apps are used and to manage users’ preferences as well as solve simple issues and to better track and manage our fleet of devices. It ties in with our DEP ( device enrolment plan ) and works as a one-stop MDM (mobile device management) system. It also allows us to see where all devices are and manage the Apple IDs of our users and we can also wipe out information from the device to help secure intellectual property. We can reset users screen lock passcodes and deploy apps to individual devices or to all devices in the fleet.
  • Manage app deployment on mobile fleet of devices
  • Manage all mobile devices and know where your fleet of devices are
  • Solve simple issues like reset screen lock passcodes
  • Protects company’s intellectual property
  • Allows for easy deployment of mobile devices to remote users
  • Integration with DEP or Apple could be made easier but it works fine once connected
  • Support could be improved as it was a little complicated for some administrators who are not considered super admins
  • IBMid is still an issue for my account since I am an administrator on a server that is owned and managed by our USA division but I support Canada which does not have its own server
This product has helped me find lost mobile devices and has helped protect our corporate intellectual property as well as making it easier to support our 700 users in our Canada manufacturing facilities. We are better able to manage our fleet of devices and manage the apps that are being used on these devices as well as which apps are being used. We can easily wipe out a device if someone resigns and to better protect information. It makes it easier to deploy a completely configured mobile device to remote users and supports Apple, Android or BYOD. Once configured correctly this product integrates seamlessly with Apple to better manage off the shelf apps or custom applications. This product has made my life working with managing two different corporate entities and their divisions all across Canada with relative ease and leaves me more time to work on other issues. And reports are simple and customizable making it simple to see and understand and utilize the information to make better informed decisions.

We are both a mobility reseller and a security consultancy for a large number of organizations. Specific to security, our customers have a wide list of mobile device usage requirements which present a vast array of security concerns as it relates to the protection of IP, Regulatory compliance, and control of business-focused usage during the work day.
As such, it is our job to present resolutions to these challenges, which are addressed both by written policy and the implementation of an MDM solution.
  • Properly configured workflows make for easy ongoing management and tweaks to the management of enrolled mobile devices
  • Granular functionality which can be used to address many complex configuration requirements
  • Best in Class support and product education resources by comparison to competing MDM solutions.
  • In dashboard help verbiage
  • Simpler customization for white label items
  • Better support for windows o/s devices
There are very few scenarios where the solution is less suited. However, if an organization is device-specific with just iOS Devices, there are other less complex solutions available if the said organization has basic security requirements.
Any organization looking for a well-organized granular solution will find IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson to be the perfect fit. Having worked for a different MDM Vendor in the past, it is very clear that this solution not only provides the levels of granularity needed to address numerous security requirements, the level and quality of support behind the curtain are outstanding.

We use IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson to manage our company iPad's. This allows us to manage every aspect of the device. We are able to centralize the deployment of apps to the devices. Users no longer need to keep up with Apple ID credentials. We can track devices if they are lost and wipe them if needed.
  • App Management
  • Deployment features
  • Ease of use.
  • Can be cost prohibitive
  • Interface can be cumbersome at first
For organizations with strict security and compliance requirements, IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson provides comprehensive security features such as mobile threat defense, secure containerization, and app distribution controls. This makes it well-suited for organizations that require strict security and compliance controls. Organizations with limited budget may find that IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson is a premium solution that may not be suitable for their limited budgets. There are other MDM solutions available that may be more affordable for such organizations.

While coming to an association that arrangements with windows and macintosh as well as cell phones overseeing them under an MDM product is hard. while this MaaS360 gives a viable answer for this. And furthermore is extremely convenient to deal with lost and taken cases by locking and cleaning information effortlessly.
  • I like that a strong stage offers an excellent UI, is cloud-based, and can oversee corporate gadgets.
  • The capacity to deal with all of the iPads we oversee pretty consistently.
  • Easy Onboarding option.
  • It's a decent instrument, yet a portion of the capacities, such as working with iOS gadgets, is very little incredible, likewise with different contenders like MS items.
  • Specialized help could be better.
  • You might encounter issues for certain gadgets.
When you select a customer group and revive the data on the customer group page, the refresh returns you to the full list of customers instead of just refreshing the list of customers within that group. IBM MaaS360 with Watson is a comprehensive Unified Endpoint Manager (UEM) platform that enables applications and content with security on any device, anytime, anywhere. Any device can be protected, including Android, Windows, iOS and Mac. Not only this, one can simply gain visibility and control over iOS, macOS, Android, and Windows devices, as well as the Internet of Things (IoT). It just requires easy registration and a perfect balance between productivity and privacy for users.
  • Mobile device management.
  • Content management centralized.
  • Mobile application security.
  • Mobile threat management.
  • Not receiving email notifications.
  • Data can not be synced.
  • Unable to take the screenshot.
Pros:
  • The ability to add new users and devices is pretty easy.
  • Overall I need to give it a good mark because it does what we want it to. Secure and easy to use and implement. I won't name names, but I have used other UEM systems and this one takes the cake for being all-around the best product for your company and clients you support.
Cons:
  • The UI is a pain to navigate, functions don't notify you if they are executed successfully or not, and app updates won't work for no reason and manually updating them is also a pain.
  • Once a device is lost, you have to continue to pay for a license on that device or it becomes unlocked and the end-user can take control of it.
  • Notifications for the app work sometimes and not work other times. IT doesn’t know what would cause this problem.

We're a small nursing agency that hires field nurses, they visit the homes of clients. The purpose of connecting the iPads to an MDM is for HIPPA compliance and control of devices between 200 employees. IBM Maas360 is through an annual bill included in our Verizon service, unfortunately, there is no viable alternative to Maas360.
  • Policies are easy to create and push out to multiple devices
  • Apple Business Manager integration is seamless with Maas360
  • You can monitor battery usage and perform remote system wipes easily
  • I feel they should hire competent tech support for system issues that the account administrator can't fix.
  • The location app is garbage, in my opinion, you can't use FindMyiPhone since likely you've disabled iCloud services with the MDM.
  • In my experience, personal representatives are always leaving their clients, new ones are always assigned without alerting the customer.
  • In my opinion, the grace period for devices is too short, if your device is stolen and later found, you might not be able to enroll the same device with the same credentials.
  • IBM doesn't re-use Maas360 licenses, in my experience, you are forced to buy new ones while paying for the old ones that can't be taken off your bill. I've never had this issue resolved and it's the main reason for my review.
Maas360 is the only MDM worth purchasing for managing a corporate MDM, it gets an above-average rating just for the principle that it's the only functional service, however, it's brought down by its, in my opinion, incompetent and aloof customer service reps who I feel only care about your monthly bill and nothing else. Whenever I had problem employees who stole iPads, I was always punished by IBM. In my experience, IBM will pretend they're going to cancel license fees for defunct devices, yet it took 5 weeks to actually cancel several devices and add new licenses so I'm not getting overages. The first two years from 2018 to 2020 were excellent, I had an incredible representative and a competent sales rep who at least checked in with our needs once a month. Ever since the old staff relocated or got laid off, we've had nothing but problems. I feel I've gotten incredibly unprofessional service, in fact, my last rep a week ago seemed to be annoyed with my requests and forced a new rep onto me (who will likely do the same thing to me in 6 months). I'm keeping the service because it's the only service Apple Business Manager works properly with. Apple Business support funny enough knows more about Maas360 than IBM themselves.

We use MaaS360 mainly in our operations department which consists of people in the field almost all work day. We decided to go with it to solve the issue of people using their own iPads on job sites then having work info on the device when leaving the company. In addition it solves the issue of people handing in company iPads with personal Apple passwords on them making them virtually impossible to unlock and use.
  • Their on-boarding program is sensational and it really helps you get up to speed on the use of the software.
  • The portal used to manage the devices and settings is professionally designed and runs very smoothly.
  • IBM goes out of their way to provide help and documentation for the period after on-boarding.
  • In using it for 6-8 months I have found no issues with the workability of the functions that can be run on the tablets and phones.
  • The website has oh-so-many options that it can be overwhelming when it comes to finding the option or policy you want.
  • After log-in they have a "Dashboard" web page that shows you important info about your devices but many of the errors do not have the appropriate links to rectify them.
  • Their process to wipe an iPad could be better. Post-wipe it still shows up in the list of devices as waiting for something to happen to it so it can be a bit confusing.
MaaS360 is suited well both for small shops and some medium-sized shops where the goal is to mostly manage company-run devices. Its smooth running web portal makes changing items happen quickly and for the most part, except for wiping machines, most items flow smoothly and make sense. The ease of use is good for the smaller shops that do not have a lot of time to spending on training. Conversely I am not sure MaaS360 is a great choice for large shops or shops that intend on having a lot of BYOD users. To use it effectively you have to request the user go into the MaaS360 app and agree to some items and that is not always an easy task with BYOD.

MaaS360 is deployed across the entire enterprise as our MDM solution. It addresses privacy concerns under HIPAA.
  • Extremely fast deployment initially and for each new device.
  • Minimal support overhead.
  • Excellent reports and alerts for compliance triggers
  • User interface could use a more modern look
Suited for organizations of all sizes that want to ensure that corporate data is encrypted and stored in a capsule on each mobile device.

IBM MaaS360 is used as a remote management tool for my company. It is mainly used to enroll devices such as android, iPhones, Mac computers, where we have control to wipe data, reset passwords, create users for access, deploy apps, and locate phones as well. The most vital tool it has been used to recover devices when lost as well as unlock disabled devices remotely. It saves time and money when you have a remote management system that is reliable that you can trust. In two years I’ve only had to call support for MaaS360 once and that was to learn a new feature. I would highly recommend this program to any small and upcoming business that has less than 1500 end users.
  • Unlock phones, users always forget their passcodes and with once click you can unlock their devices.
  • A repository for devices within your company and keeps you informed with alerts on who has it deployed as well as instant alerts for users that try to remove it from their devices.
  • Locking a phone that has been lost to ensure PHI is safely maintained.
  • The ease of using the system is a plus, it is easy to learn and highly trainable.
  • After attempts to reset a passcode sometimes a phone will become disabled. When a phones IOS is locked their is no way to successfully send a passcode without wiping the phone
  • Need an easier way to change the email if you create it wrong and the phone is already deployed. Sometimes the selective wipe does not always work as it should.
  • Too many alerts.
It is well suited for companies with less than 1500 employees. For companies over that amount licenses can be very costly.
